Who We Are

We are a supportive community for pre-licensed therapists committed to growing our clinical skills, deepening our professional knowledge, and building confidence in the therapy room. This group is facilitated by a licensed clinician who provides guidance, structure, and practical tools to help you thrive in your early career.

What to Expect

In this collaborative space, you’ll learn and share hands-on strategies and practice essential therapeutic interventions. Each session focuses on expanding your clinical “toolbox” with effective techniques, creative approaches, and real-world applications. You can expect fun, collaborative discussions, resource sharing, and a safe environment to ask questions, demonstrate interventions, and celebrate your growth as a clinician.

This is not a case consultation group but a brainstorming group to share our favorite interventions, ice-breakers, worksheets, and resources to expand our skillsets.

When We Meet

About This Meet-Up

Our topic this month will be "Working with Men in Therapy." I am running it back again for the folks who could not make it the first time. We will be sharing our experiences and insights on working with men in the context of therapy. I’ll share some of the experiences of disconnect/barriers from my clinical experience. This is an opportunity to learn from one another about what we found effective working with men.

Registration is limited to 10 people, with a waitlist opportunity, so be sure to register early. We look forward to seeing you there! Registration closes the evening before the event.

Who We Are

The 3000 Club is a group designed to support pre-licensed therapists on their journey towards licensure.

What to Expect

At the SGV-CAMFT 3000 club meet-ups you can expect networking opportunities to connect with other pre-licensed therapists, as well as access to a supportive community of licensed therapists who will have the answers to your questions about the licensure process.

When We Meet

SGV-CAMFT is now offering two 3000 Club meetings every month to support pre-licensed therapists on their road to licensure. One monthly meeting is hosted by Joe Girillo, LMFT and is held usually every third weekend of the month in person at varying locations. Our virtual meetings are currently on hold and will resume again soon. Emerald Aueyong will continue her volunteer efforts at LA-CAMFT.

About This Meet-Up

The 3000 Club "Coffee Date" this month will be at the Red Car Coffee Shop within the Huntington Library Art Museum in San Marino.

Join us at Ethera SGV for a collaborative workshop focused on building and refining your online presence as a therapist in private practice. This gathering is designed to be a practical, low-pressure space to cowork, exchange ideas, and receive support while working on materials such as Psychology Today profiles, websites, bios, SEO keywords, and other aspects of your professional online presence.

We’ll begin with a brief discussion around authenticity, visibility, and strategies, followed by dedicated coworking and feedback time. Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops, drafts, questions, or works-in-progress they would like to spend time updating during the session.

Whether you’re just getting started or revisiting your current platforms, this workshop is intended to offer community, accountability, and practical support while navigating the realities of building a private practice online.
