Description (2950 characters max)
I specialize in working with Asian, Asian Americans, and first-gen clients who feel overwhelmed by pressure, perfectionism, and the tension between personal needs and family or cultural expectations. Many of the individuals I work with are high-achieving and used to “holding it together,” yet internally feel anxious, stuck, or unsure of themselves.
My clinical work often focuses on helping clients understand the roots of their stress, develop healthier boundaries, and build a stronger sense of identity and self-trust. I support clients navigating life transitions, burnout, family conflict, intergenerational differences, and the emotional impact of being the “good” or “reliable” one in their family. I also work with clients who struggle to express needs, manage guilt, or reconcile cultural values with their own goals.
My style is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. I integrate practical coping strategies with deeper insight-oriented work so clients can create meaningful, sustainable change. I aim to create a space where clients feel understood without needing to explain or justify their cultural experiences.
I value collaboration with other professionals and welcome referrals for clients who may benefit from culturally attuned care, particularly those who are navigating identity, family dynamics, and performance-related stress. I strive to communicate clearly with referral sources and support continuity of care when appropriate.
In addition to therapy, I provide clinical supervision and support sessions for private practice growth and career exploration.
