Introduction to Neurofeedback Therapy with Anchor Counseling

Come and learn about neurofeedback therapy - a research-based, non-invasive, and drug-free alternative. Learn how neurofeedback therapy can help your clients harness the brain’s natural capacity for change (i.e. neuroplasticity). Both an exercise and therapy for the brain, neruofeedback provides simple auditory and visual feedback. This feedback gradually guides the brain to increase and/or decrease specific brainwave frequency bands, and/or enhance connectivity between the two regions of the brain. This presentation will dive into the research of how and why neurofeedback works, what a typical session looks like, and how it can compliment the therapy you are already doing with your clients.

The Lunch and Learn Speaker Series was created in 2017 in response to feedback from members who participated in our membership opinion survey. Every other month, we gather in Pasadena. Each meeting features a 20-25 minute program covering various topics relevant to our profession.
