Please join us Friday, April 19 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at the Center for Connection Play Strong Institute for friendly conversation and networking with colleagues and SGV-CAMFT board members. Guests will enjoy a delicious luncheon courtesy of our host the Center for Connection. Although free, registration is required so that we can tell our host how many to expect.

In this modern technology-driven age, a new generation of kids and teens are reporting higher levels of stress, anxiety, and extreme pressure to perform without enough healthy coping mechanisms. Join our Director, Georgie Wisen-Vincent, LMFT RPT-S and Faculty Supervisors as we discuss recent advances in treating childhood anxiety, stress, and trauma at the Center for Connection. Using innovative strategies in play, creativity and mindfulness, we can develop emotional regulation, social intelligence, empathy, and resilience in our kids in just fifteen minutes a day.

Headed by Executive Director Dr. Tina Payne Bryson, PhD, co-author of the Whole Brain Child parenting book series, the Center for Connection/Play Strong Institute is dedicated to advancing study and research in play therapy and neuroscience, and enriching the lives of children and families through counseling that is highly integrated with the science of interpersonal neurobiology, trauma-informed care, play, creativity and mindfulness.

About the Lunch & Learn Program

The Lunch and Learn Speaker Series was created in 2017 in response to feedback from members who participated in our membership opinion survey. Every other month, we gather in Pasadena. Each meeting features a 20-25 minute program covering various topics relevant to our profession. During this luncheon, members have the opportunity to socialize and network, promote their businesses and, of course, enjoy a delicious meal.
