The Panel
Anita Avedian, MFT
Anita has over 10 years of experience in private practice with offices in Tarzana, Glendale and Sherman Oaks. She has an extensive professional background with a multitude of roles as an Anger management class facilitator, Intervention Coordinator at UCLA Center for Community Health, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Consultant, presenter at the First Annual West Coast Symposium of Addictive Disorders in La Quinta, and Supervisor. Anita is very involved with the professional community and currently serves on the local chapter boards for Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA), California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and Armenian American Mental Health Association (AAMHA).
Arolyn Burns, MFT
Arolyn is a Hypnotherapist & EMDR Practitioner and has been in private practice since 1998. Prior to private practice she was a Children's Social Worker (CSW) for LA County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) for over 10 years. She has worked with the county providing assessments for children with Mental Health issues (D-Rate) as well as providing support and clinical advice to case carrying CSW's regarding family support services and mental health services. She has collaborated with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) D-Rate Assessment Team and provided clinical consultations with the DCFS staff and caregivers. Arolyn volunteers for the Association of Batterers Intervention Programs (ABIP).
Judy Grover, MFT
Judy is the Program Director at Pacific Clinics Sierra Family Center in Glendora. She started her professional career as a behavioral specialist and Social Worker working with abused children placed into foster care at Serenity Infant Care Homes Inc, in Covina. After graduating from California State University of Fullerton in Counseling she immediately began her community mental health training at Pacific Clinics in April 2005.
Jessica Harris, MA
Jessica works in the Partial Hospitalization Program of Reasons Eating Disorder Center, having started there as a Program Therapist in 2011. While completing her master's degree in clinical psychology at Pepperdine University, she held the position of Developmental Therapist at Holding Hands, a center for special needs children and their families, assisting them in supporting their child’s communication, relational, and social skills needs. Jessica also worked at the Elizabeth House in Pasadena with homeless women struggling with substance abuse, poverty and depression.
