This presentation is designed for licensed clinicians who are interested in psychoanalytic thinking and want to deepen and improve their clinical work. Emphasis will be placed on utilizing the therapeutic relationshipto improve the work. We will also explore conscious and unconscious themes in the transference and countertransference to understand the patient on a deeper level… Bring case material as this will be an interactive experience!

Speaker's Bio:

Dr. Kathleen Fitzgerald is a Certified Psychoanalyst and a Licensed Marriage, and Family Therapist with 22 years of experience in private practice. Dr. Fitzgerald treats adolescents, adults and couples providing psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis to address a complex range of psychological and emotional issues. She also provides case consultations to clinicians.


From 2000 to 2011 she was adjunct faculty and clinical supervisor at Fuller Theological Seminary, School of Psychology, and Fuller Psychological and Family Services and now teaches at Newport Psychoanalytic Institute.
