    About This Meet-Up

The 3000 Club "Coffee Date" this month will be at the Red Car Coffee Shop within the Huntington Library Art Museum in San Marino.

As part of our 3000 Club’s focus on niche work, this month we will be gifted with a presentation by Bob Roan, LMFT, LPCC regarding “artificial intelligence romantic partners.”

    This timely presentation will address:

    • What is an AI Romantic Partner?
    • Why is this such a big deal?
    • What is the good and the bad?
    • Why is this a good opportunity for therapists?
    • … and a discussion of Clinical Observations and Suggestions.

Bob earned his Master’s degree in counseling psychology with an emphasis in depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, which is aligned with the thinking of Carl Jung and Marion Woodman and Joseph Campbell. One of his focuses is on cyberpsychology, the psychology of the digital world. He is particularly interested in the unconscious material Artificial Intelligence Romantic Partners can connect us with and believes they have the potential to be a very powerful tool for psychological growth.

    PROGRAMS CHAIR/EVENT ORGANIZER

    Emerald Aueyong, LMFT, LPCC

    About This Event

This workshop explores the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence in mental health therapy, with a specific focus on how legal and ethical AI considerations directly impact client treatment and therapeutic outcomes. Drawing from cutting-edge AI research and clinical applications, participants will examine current AI tools in therapeutic practice, emerging regulatory frameworks, and evidence-based strategies for protecting client welfare while leveraging AI innovations responsibly. Through real-world case studies and California-specific legislation analysis, therapists will develop practical competencies to navigate AI-related ethical dilemmas that arise in direct client care. By the end of this training, participants will be equipped to implement AI tools that enhance rather than compromise therapeutic relationships, ensuring client safety, privacy, and treatment efficacy remain paramount.

We look forward to seeing you there! Registration closes morning of event.

    About This Meet-Up

Just over 1 yr ago, the Eaton Fire ravaged our land, destroying and negatively impacting homes and lives. Therapists in the San Gabriel Valley have served on the front lines tending to those who suffered devastating losses in the Eaton Fire. Many of those therapists lost their own homes or were displaced as well. Dealing with one’s own grief while meeting the raw, emotional grief of clients, often takes place at the expense of healing one’s own needs. How have you been coping with this enormous load?

Many of us haven’t felt comfortable joining established grief groups or community gatherings for fear of sharing our vulnerabilities in front of clients who might also be there. As such, our own grief weighs heavy inside our hearts; we feel alone and unsupported.

On Sunday, March 8th, SGV-CAMFT will host a free gathering to address healing the healers. We are inviting all therapists impacted by the Eaton Fire to join CB Trepashko, Kathryn Bikle, and Shana Pallotta for a grief and loss healing and support ceremony specifically to address therapists’ grief. This grief processing opportunity is open to all therapists who lost their homes, were displaced, or personally impacted by the Eaton Fire. Together we will explore our grief, tend to our wounded hearts, and look to begin our own healing journey supported by ritual, ceremony, sound bath, art, and each other.

Admission is FREE. Registration is required. This is a personal workshop, no CE credits will be provided. Open to all Therapists in the SGV who were impacted by the Eaton Fire by losing their home, being displaced, or having been personally impacted by the Eaton Fire on Jan 7, 2025.

We look forward to seeing you there! Registration closes March 6, 2026.

    Who We Are

The SGV-CAMFT Dream Circle is a focused and intimate gathering designed for therapists to explore the significance of dreams. Led by experienced facilitator Kathryn Bikle, this recurring group offers a space to learn practical techniques for understanding dream imagery and applying those insights to navigate personal and professional challenges.

As a part of the SGV-CAMFT community offerings, the Dream Circle provides a unique opportunity for members and non-members alike to delve into the subconscious in a supportive environment, fostering self-discovery and a deeper understanding of the psyche. With its limited size, the group encourages connection and a more personalized experience in unraveling the mysteries held within our dreams.

    What to Expect

You can expect an insightful exploration into the realm of dreams with the San Gabriel Valley CAMFT Dream Circle. Led by Kathryn Bikle, a seasoned Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Dream Circle groups offer a deep dive into how dream work can enrich your therapeutic approach or personal understanding of your inner landscape.

Kathryn also brings valuable expertise as a Somatic Experiencing® Trauma Practitioner, Certified Labyrinth Facilitator and BodyDreaming® Practitioner. She is sensitive to the body's role in processing experiences and has a holistic and symbolic approach to inner exploration, and she brings this sensitive, holistic, and symbolic approach to her work as facilitator of the SGV-CAMFT Dream Circle.

    When We Meet

The Dream Circle usually meets on the third Saturday of the month in Monrovia.

    About This Meet-Up

Curious about how to work with dreams in your therapy practice? Or maybe you’re just interested in working with dreams for your own personal growth and enjoyment?
