    Who We Are

We are a supportive community for pre-licensed therapists committed to growing our clinical skills, deepening our professional knowledge, and building confidence in the therapy room. This group is facilitated by a licensed clinician who provides guidance, structure, and practical tools to help you thrive in your early career.

    What to Expect

In this collaborative space, you’ll learn and share hands-on strategies and practice essential therapeutic interventions. Each session focuses on expanding your clinical “toolbox” with effective techniques, creative approaches, and real-world applications. You can expect fun, collaborative discussions, resource sharing, and a safe environment to ask questions, demonstrate interventions, and celebrate your growth as a clinician.

This is not a case consultation group but a brainstorming group to share our favorite interventions, ice-breakers, worksheets, and resources to expand our skillsets.

    When We Meet

The Clinical Toolbox Roundtable will meet 1-2x a month, virtually on Tuesdays at 6:30pm (6:15pm check-in).

    About This Meet-Up

Our topic this month will be "Working with men in therapy." We will be sharing our experiences and insights on working with men in the context of therapy. I’ll share some of the experiences of disconnect/barriers from my clinical experience. This is an opportunity to learn from one another about what we found effective working with men.

Registration is limited to 12 people, with a waitlist opportunity, so be sure to register early. We look forward to seeing you there! Registration closes the evening before the event.

    Who We Are

This networking event is for therapists who would like to know more therapists, to really understand their strengths and style in order to develop a referral base and professional will. It's for those of us who may get overwhelmed at the free-form, large-group socializing/networking events, or find it difficult to "feel" who other therapists are (as therapists) in that context, or have difficulty attending in-person events for any reason. The "Anti-social" is meant to be a tongue in cheek way of highlighting that these meetups really focus on networking and sharing ourselves as therapists.

    What to Expect

This will be a structured, smaller-group meetup for us to share our offerings and strengths as therapists. Each meeting is one hour long, on Zoom. There's no pressure to socialize, and you can attend multiple events, as you desire.

    When We Meet

We have this event 2 times every month at various times. Jonna's intention is to schedule various times, making it available to more people. If you have a particular time that you haven't seen scheduled yet, please let Jonna know, and we can make a future meeting to fit your schedule!

    About This Meet-Up

Jonna endeavors to create a warm, welcoming space where we can share about ourselves to the group and really get a sense of each other's vibe as therapists. In addition to sharing things like your therapy focus, strengths, style, ideal client, etc., you can share things like what you like about being a therapist, how you see yourself in the client-therapist relationship, or a moment from a session where you really liked how you showed up. Or anything else you'd like us to know about you!

Registration is limited to 9 people, so be sure to register early. Registration closes the morning of the event. If you've registered but can't make it, please let Jonna know (even the morning of the event!). We often have a wait list, and your cancellation frees up a spot for someone else to attend.

    About This Meet-Up

Our topic this month will be "Children and Sexuality" with Monica Borunda. Monica Borunda, LMFT, SEP, CCTP-II, is a bilingual, bicultural Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II. Monica has been a faculty member at California State University, Los Angeles for 17 years. Monica has also served as a Child Forensic Interview Specialist and Trainer for the State of California and Nevada, conducting interviews with children in sensitive legal cases involving child sexual abuse and other major crimes. , educating social workers, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and other professionals across the state. Recognized as an expert witness in child sexual abuse, trauma, and forensic interviewing, she frequently provides expert testimony in legal proceedings.

Some questions to think about as we prepare for this discussion include: What is considered "normal" sexual exploration vs. problematic sexual behavior vs. abusive/criminal sexual behavior? Can two children engage in sexual behavior and only one of them be harmed/a victim? What is the difference between developmentally normal sexual exploration and behavior that creates trauma? I look forward to exploring this difficult yet important topic with you!

Space is limited, so be sure to register early! We look forward to seeing you there! Registration closes the morning before the event.

The Asian Therapist Community Group is designed exclusively to support Asian mental health therapists, licensed and pre-licensed, throughout the San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles County. This is your space to connect, recharge, and thrive alongside peers who understand your unique journey.

    What to Expect

You can expect to build a supportive network that uplifts each other while engaging in honest conversations about navigating life as an Asian therapist. Together, we'll build meaningful connections, foster personal and professional growth, and collectively uplift Asian mental health in our communities.

    When We Meet

The Asian Therapist Community Group meets monthly on a Saturday at different locations throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

    About This Meet-Up

For our April gathering, we’re doing something a little different. Instead of our usual meeting, we’ll be getting together for an updated professional headshot photoshoot. This is a chance to refresh the photos you use for your website, directories, and social media while connecting with other therapists in the community. Each participant will receive 3–5 professionally edited photos, including one image with additional retouching. Come ready to update your professional presence and spend some time in community.
